It's just that the male MC is very non interactive, he's supposed to be the king and yet he just listens to his dick. I get that there are men through history that has displayed the same behavior, but it makes for a dull story. Why give the guy a face if he's basically a side character to the conflict between these two strong characters? Just have him faceless for the purpose of being a price since he still has yet displayed any sort of personality than a horny twat looking to get his dick wet by a voluptuous female.
Well ml is very enamored by his mistress, but it's because he genuinely believes that she is a good and kind woman that wholeheartedly loves him. It will take a (hella long) while for him to see her true face, and when he does he does get his act together and becomes a responsible leader as well as doting/pining husband towards the female lead. This story's saving grace is that our fl will give zero fucks about his belated love until the veeeeeeeeeery end of the tale. Tbh this is the main reason I can tolerate the story.
