I'm not sure how I should be feeling but that author's note really ruined alot of the seriousness of the story for me. I would understand better if this was your typical smut or joke yaoi but no it's portrayed in a traumatic and serious manor so very inappropriate and a weird of the author to be fetishizing it as it's so realistically portrayed.

Like the other comments have said the ending feels a bit rushed and not properly fleshed out but all in all it's a beautifully intriguing story with a cast of well written characters and an engaging premise

This story is quite a good read but people complain because there's not much drama other than the cliche ones we have for omegaverse and royalty type tropes.
