This is just a manga but there are a lot of kids who have loving families, no complications at all and they are just... pure evil. With no reason whatsoever. They hurt and kill only for their own amusement, it wouldn't surprise me if Okaya is just the spawn of Satan just for the sake of it.
Yeah, good that this manga doesn't try to give sad backstories to villains. Like "they're so evil, BUT diD YoU knOw, this tragedy happend to them, so they're not actually evil, the society just ruined them"
In the same time like ordinary highschoolars, they're spending time with each other, someone's angry issues, they seems to be nice to each other and care about one another (at least Kunigawa). Something I do feel empathy for them (more like pity them) but not in a way I'd question Maria's actions, they're just horrible people even in their latest moments
