I honestly can't seem to grasp this story for the life of me. At times the FL seems like a goal-driven, ambitious and clever woman, and at times she seems plain dumb. I hate how the author glossed over a literal CHILD'S DEATH, for fucks sake, was it really necessary? I honestly hoped Arabella to live, like she deserved; and even worse, she died alone, without the only person who loved her sincerely. Also I have mixed feelings about Cesare, i mean, i can't really hate him for things he hasn't done yet, we as readers are able to gloss over the stuff the FL did in the past, which are just as bad as Cesare did, and we're able to forgive her and not him, who didn't even do those things?
