No, Karis has sex. :) Vampires don't drink blood in this story--they can absorb energy through the skin. Alternatively, they can use synthetic substitutes, but those do not taste good. Sihan complains about how bad they are. Earlier, Ryan "accidentally" depleted Lucaon's supply of synthetics to suggest Lucaon eat straight from Kyon. One reason why Kyon has so many hickies is because Lucaon is eating while touching his mouth to Kyon's skin.
