Spoilers for my fav scene from the novel .
So they get stranded in the woods and coyotes attack them but since Chase has trauma from dogs he's having a panic attack and then Josh single handedly fights off the whole pack, the pack leader coyote runs at Chase to bite his neck, josh blocks it with his arm ( strong, hot Daddy omg) then Chase faints from shock at seeing Josh get swallowed under a pile of coyotes. Then when he wakes up, Josh is smoking while his hand is bleeding then he smirks and flirts with Chase. When Chase asks him if he'll kill someone for him, Josh tell himself that he doesn't want to be a criminal but he'll kill someone if Chase kisses him as payment Because he thinks a kiss from Chase is worth it.
Oh another scene where Chase gets kidnapped by people that try to sexually assault him but Josh saves him. Also, he asks Chase to point out the man that gave him the bruise and then brutally beats him up
Basically, Chase is actually a bratty princess and he's the greenest flag out of all the mls the author has written. He doesn't like raping his partners, cares about consent, has sexual trauma and is just puppy inside.

plot.... 3/10 bc it failed so bad and it hurts
After 58 chapters I kinda felt nothing, it was rushed and the length of each chapter is a joke.
I liked the vibe at the start because even tho it introduced us to a rushed trope/dynamic and no context of the characters, I was still excited for the story.
Sadly I got disappointed and I was left more confused than ever.
The ending was even more rushed with its time skip and failed mystery aspects of Miro.
It had so much potential but it will forever remain a bittersweet aftertaste in my memory.
I cherish it for what it is and what it made me think about, sadly it lacked so much that it failed to make me feel something. BUT!!!! it sure made me think about many things and I even got inspired by it.
IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME UNDERSTAND THE HIDDEN MEANINGS OF THIS STORY, PLLLLSSS TELLLL MEEE, maybe the translation tool i used made things more confusing than they are. Idk
After reading the novel I can say:
- best communication skills EVER, they have no misunderstandings and they also are mentally mature
- sexy time happens more often after we hit the 100 chapter mark
- Renato fell first but Khalid fell harder, is the trope <333
- I'll sacrifice myself for you (both have that for eo)
- fairy blood for the win
- their wedding night was too short in the novel, I cried when it stopped ....
- Khalid is smart af!
- Khalid understands how important mental health is and doesn't rush his husband!!
- Khalid is 25 and Renato is 20 but both are so mature, they be acting like they both 30
- Khalid will remember the past bc when he got poisoned, Renato gave him his fairy blood to heal him and that is how he remembers, since the fairy king has the same blood and has the ability to turn back time and stop time
