Like it didnt do anything to drive the plot that's been going on since season 1 like hwayoung's circle of friends and the unanswered questions between all of them (which has always been there), that crazy masochist boss, etc., or guwon's relationship w/ hwayoung's family (as they're beginning to trust him and their relationship).. like all of these just to have an unbuilt villain to show how their relationship will go if guwon leave idk
