hey so contrary to what this one review says, the characters aren't all white.. that's just during the beginning of the story, where we meet the main character and the people around him, and even if it looks like there's only fair-skinned characters in the manga, there's actually a number of characters with darker skin color...
and also, the characters aren't their skin color, please read the manga and appreciate their uniqueness and the essence of their character
ps. the story is reaaally really good, im putting it off right now cuz i wanna come back to this and have a good binge reading session, and also, yeah u might only see fair skinned characters in like 4 chapters in, but as you progress you'll see how beautifully made the world building is, like- im in awe it's fantastic and i fell in love with this story, the characters, and the message the wisdom that it imparts upon the reader

they may look white, but that's just their skin color... the setting of the story is inspired by the middle eastern countries (from what i can observe), and the mangaka did such a good job portraying the culture, the everything, man this manga is soooo good im not even glazing i wouldn't yap this much fr if im not passionately into something

Aw its unfortunate i wont get to see you comment so frequently now, i do hope to see you comment when a major plot point occurs.
Anyways yes i also think not many are also aware of the fact there are light skinned Middle eastern people since the area is so large. That's probably why the og commenter thought they were white though they were hyron.
echinacea becoming the commander's squire is like them getting married with the vow thing, "i do" thing, and contract thing HAHAHAHAH also they did the whole ceremony inside a church, craaazy
