Waaah!!! I just saw the raws for v2 and... waaaahhh!!!! I want!! xD

Even though I can't read japanese.... I'm already dying of anticipation!!! T^T

T/L said that Zakuro also said boyfriend in the original but said that author admitted it was a typo... buuuuttt... is it really a typo though??? xD Hahaha Now that the topic of possibility has been opened, it seems like Zakuro's actions have been... and that extra bout the Giant mushroom. xD Hahahahaha
Then there's Akatsuki-kun, who's open but not really caring if it's labeled. xD hahahaha

I've been wondering bout akatsuki since chapter 1 coz of his actions... especially when he was asked to be a girl. It's like he doesn't really care one way or another, he'll follow his feelings more than what's "rational"... especially in a recent particular chapter... I kinda forgot what chapter it was, but I distinctly remember thinking that it showed him liking girls, but also him showing interest in boys too. That was when I firmly believed he doesn't care about labels.
This are just speculations but it has been occurring since early chapters and grows more in recent chaps... so it has a possibility of being true. xD

I love this discussion! Lol
But, a part of me thinks that, while Iride doesn't care about labels like all of you are saying, it has to do with his past with his adoptive mother and the facility. He's literally been forced to be someone he's not just to appease someone else's needs. So, it's like, he feels his body isn't really his and he just loves to become whatever is necessary at the time, you know?
Still...the shipping pool has grown large and I am up for the game!

About that, didn't Akatsuki-kun himself admitted that he didn't care if he played as "the son" ... I kinda forgot which chapter it was but somehow I kinda remember him saying that he loved his 'mother' and didn't really hate playing the part of being her son (or maybe, I think this was in the part where the uncle recalled stuff for the detectives). He was also aware that she wasn't quite right in the head, right...
To me, it conveyed that he is more resilient and more firm on who he is.
Plus, his personlity from the very start to the present supports this. He unconditionally cares for people no matter who or what they are. He cares for Anya-kun even though that guy's a superb tsundere. Heck, he's the only one who's polite towards Paca-san while almost all of the others just wants to kill the poor Alpaca. This was actully the main reason why I thought he doesn't care about labels and such.
His personality is too open and innocent, but at the same time, dependable and mature. If you look closely, its like everyone relies on him as a stable foundation. While everyone is suspicious of everything and confused as to what's what, he's the only one they can rely on to keep them stable... at least that's how it looks to me.
That's why I thought he couldn't careless if he was like this or like that, he just follows what he feels.

You and me both, lol!
No, you're right that he did say in a chapter that he was "fine playing the role". It was in a flashback where his uncle (the kitty mask guy) was talking to him about it, saying he was sorry or something.
But, I also think that, while Akatsuki is certainly resilient and naturally accepting/accommodating, he isn't coping healthily either. With this new arc and all the connections coming to light, he seems like he has a LOT going on and it was all just kind of dumped on him without any thought to how he might feel about it.
To me, he just kind of seems like the type to literally "grin and bear it".
I suspect he actually has a lot of sadness and maybe even anger inside, especially thinking back to the first arc in the classroom with the... ghost girl? I could be remembering wrong, but didn't he briefly contemplate actually dying with her before he thought of the others? There's also the moments where he just generally seems sad. Particularly in isolated scenes where it's just him and the Paca talking alone.
He clearly isn't all bubbly happiness and easy-going personality.
This is made even more true when you look at all the other characters and their backstories, and discover that they all have a darkness in them. A reason for being there, though not of their own volition. The tiny girl with the flashbangs they call "Hiimin" had tough family issues, mask-guy was looking for his sister, sleepy-guy was neglected and disconnected socially and emotionally from others except maybe his neighbor, etc...
But I'm rambling!( ̄∇ ̄")

About that ghost, he technically didn't contemplate "dying" with her... It's more like he's so sad that the ghost was alone (the ghost said she was alone) that he's willing to die just so the ghost won't be alone... That's where I started thinking that he's waaaay too fricking nice (also, Akatsuki-kun's the reason why I'm feeling sad for that ghost, and paca, and the rest of the "monsters" his niceness is too contagious). Who would die for a fricking stranger ghost? (Tbh, I would do it for the people I care, but not to a stranger and a ghost xD).
And yeah, I get what you mean... That's the reason why I have a little doubt on his personality... I saw that everyone had something going on to them, besides the fact that he's adopted and his adopted family are wonky, there's also the question of who he truly is and if he knows who he is (given the recent chapters said that he is actually the owner of the island, I'm inclined to think he's the mastermind of all that's happening)...
In fact, I have this theory that he actually have an amnesia or man-made amnesia and the reason why Paca brought him in the island is to recover those memories. Heck, I kinda remember Paca saying that everything that he did was for Iride-sama. And those genomes they're collecting? It's either to make a human, another body to transfer Iride who has a sickness that can't be cured, or it's to help him regain the memories... Wild Imagination I tell you. xD
But tbh, I'm hoping that I'm wrong that he actually doesn't have an alter ego. I just want him to stay as nice as he is now, and if he does change, I hope he retains the niceness... There's too much bad in this world I just want one true nice person... even if he's fictional. xD

Also, I'm worried whether I should laugh or be anxious. We're literally deeply discussing a fictional guy's personality and orientation as if we're intellectuals who debates about the truth of the universe... It's weird and but also funny. xD hahahaha
(Oh and what do you mean you're drawing blank on their names???)

What's with today and me feeling so single '??? Especially in this story cause I can somehow... relate. I had... once... a long time ago... someone who I love with everything that I have... and him loving me in return with everything he had... Unfortunately... it had to end, due to circumstances... but I still love him. sigh...
Let's not continue remembering this.
I'm not really a fan of light novels... If I were to choose between manga ver. or novel. I'd choose manga even if it's waay to far behind... but this time, Overgeard... I'd say novel...
HOLY FRICKING!!!! 1000 CHAPTERS AND I STILL WANT MORE!!!!!!!
(tbh the novel feels like it's still manga that's why i'm fine with it.)
