My only gripe is when stories will have a character who is into hardcore rough bdsm sex and then when they finally get into a relationship theyre just suddenly chill with vanilla regular shmegular sex. So of course he'd be innocent and take things at face value. Now of course, the drug's making his self awareness lower and his memory's not on point, but this is also because he blindly trusts his childhood friend to want the best for him (which we obviously know isn't true). He has a limited understanding of how humans can harm one another and sure, if you wanna call that low IQ or him being dumb that's your opinion, but it's honestly just the psychological backround he has being protected as a kid
