Not adding bL cuz sometimes i also have sudden urg to read romance manga that has female lead (or on rare occurrence a male lead)or maybe just a romance manga that is either shoujo, shounen,seinen or josei.
Here I go~

Stories with historical setting, pertaining to any past era/period.
❁ Many of these are set in Japan and China, but I also really love the ones with european ambient/about european history. 
❁ Among the characters there can be samurai, royal/noble, pirate etc.
❁ They may involve actual historical persons/references.
❁ And some may involve fantasy/supernatural elements, time travel etc.
