He's too obsessive and possesive. I think he put those photos to scare her, and took advantage of that fear to make him seem like a hero. I also feel like she didn't actually lose the red car keychain, but he stole it instead, because it was something she loves. I'm pretty sure he was actually the one who hit Taegang's car, because of his jealousy, and possibly, was the one who killed them in the future (maybe it wasn't an accident, but rather a planned murder). Hence, maybe the reason why they were sent 8 years back to the past was because, this was the time where he first became part of their lives.
Also just wanna say that the Kim Gujong guy is so freaking delusional and disgusting, but he's too dumb to be able to put those photos in Mirim's locker and bag without being noticed
