I won't lie when i first started reading the manhwa I wasn't a big fan of Chase (but that face THOOO) but when i saw everyone commenting how Chase is not a red flag at all later in the novel I was so tempted I wend ahead and read the novel myself. AND BOY- SOMEONE PROTECT CHASE HE IS SWEETHEART! Once comes into terms with being close to Josh we finally get to see how misunderstood he truly is. The only thing wrong with Chase is his fiery attitude but he mellows down SO MUCH. He loves Josh with his everything and is always so scared that he'll get abandoned by him. He literally attached himself to Josh after they start sort of 'getting together' (not in a toxic way) but in a 'please stay with me i can finally breathe when you are with me'. And he tries so hard to be better, honestly you just start to love him so much because once you read the novels your realize the only reason why Chase is so defensive and aggressive is because he's been neglected and abused all his life with no one by his side. So, when he realized there is someone out there who'd protect him with their everything Chase's walls came down as if he was waiting for Josh all his life. I am afraid Chase is just a babygirl <3

I love Josh! The way he deals with everything and even chase is so refreshing to see. He is aware of his self-worth and REFUSES to let anyone take him down. He is Chase's protector. Josh is ready to throw HANDS whenever he is in danger (happens quite a lot since he his life is at risk from the terrorist organization). Even tho Chase and Josh (especially Josh) don't say their 'I love you'(s) until almost the very end of the main story It's very evident how much in love they are in with each other. THEIR SEXUAL TENSION IS OFF THE CHARTTTSS- Josh is WAYYYY hornier in the novels he loses his sanity every time he's near Chase. His thoughts show how much he desires Chase even though he tries to keep his calm on the outside.

I absolutely LOVE their dynamic. I was afraid he'd be similar to Keith but NO Chase is just someone who protects him. He's been lonely ever since he could remember and it's so sad to see him struggle with his fears. They have an intense sexual chemistry and truly do love each other. THEYAREPERFECTFOREACHOTHER!!! (Chase is also very big on consent my precious bbg) (づ￣ ³￣)づ
