I'm so happy about this story. If all the characters met the writer and their story became one or two chapters, I wouldn't have minded at all, but seeing them return over and over again, exploring the familiar places of their shared living space and most of all, talking to each other independently of the writer is wonderful. Even with their grim and melancholic stories, by sitting Shizuko-san and Yachiyo-san at the same table, having them talk without the writer present, they're suddenly both very real and tragic figures. They're no longer doomed characters, but broken people, who have a chance to heal. I love it here.

Too much pain for me, I'm sorry, but I'd literally implode if I read another chapter. I lub them all too much <///3

Obviously people can change, I'm not saying he's barred from relationships ever. But he hit Tsumugi. Mari is Tsumugi's only friend, the only person she can rely on if things go south with her yandere boyfriend and her dysfunctional family.

I know how this will go. Tsumugi will find out about the split, give Mari an inspiring speech about true love and it will be solved. Since this is a relationship we're supposed to cheer for, they'll live happily ever after, the end. Let's hope Mari doesn't get too emotional on him, and he doesn't kick her! Let's hope that, if they move in together, Tsumugi won't ever need her help!

And just in case, I was misremembering things, perhaps exaggerated a shove or something, I went back to the start and:

He kicked her, in the back, while she was only in underwear, to push her on the floor outside their residence.
He tried to hit her with closed fist, only to be stopped by Itoshi
He did actually hit her.
Pulled her by her wrist, after they broke up.
AAANNDD this isn't explicitly said, and I'm sure now that we have to pair these two people up, author pretend it was never implied, but I feel like chapter 3 is pretty much saying, that he was violent towards Tsumugi during sex, to the point that her crying was really concerning for Itoshi.

Uuuughhhh..... It's usually a really tense and interesting story, which is why this writing decision is so disappointing!
The investigation being dr. Oh's death was a hugely important plot point, serving to turn Dr. Seok into an active protagonist, rather than a passive bystander.
The investigation was what drove them to spend time together.
The circumstances around his death were set up as specific clues, like you'd do in a mystery. We weren't just told "his death is suspicious", we were told where he stood when he was shot, who had access to the lab, the alibis of other doctors, the time of death and that it was meddled with.

The Garden of Eden and it's leader has also been a huge deal! We've slowly been getting fragments of information about what they are, what are they after, why are they interested in Dr. Seok and how are they connected to Dr. Oh's death.

My main point being, that while not tagged as such, this whole time the plot has been clearly centered around a mystery. Why, oh why, would they decide to suddenly reveal the entire mystery to me, without the protagonist present, without any tension, being delivered by a guy we've literally never met before. Why are we immediately given all the answers and why are the main culprits behind these mysteries two guys, who not only did we not know who they are, until last chapter, we literally didn't even know they exist. Sorry, the main culprits being the two leaders would've been a lot more interesting had it been set up better beforehand.

I kind of get revealing the truth behind Oh's death, as the clues and conclusion were kind of already there (But I'd do it in a more tense and relevant way!), but whyyyyyyyyyy reveal who's the leader of Eden. There was no need for that aghhhhhhh. Sorry.

To answer your concerns it’s because of the author’s way of writing things. The “I’m going to make you think this is the plot BUT SIKE”, based on the chapter in the novel we’re only about 1/3 of the way through and there’s a lot more mystery to look forward to such as the garden of Eden, the “vaccine”, the cure and the relationship of the second master to the main cast and the 4 rivers will all be revealed and Dr.Oh’s death is only the tip of the ice berg. Just keep reading I promise it’ll be good (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Don't worry, I'm totally set on continuing with this story, it's great and outside of this I had no issues with the plot whatsoever (except for chapter 2-3, but we don't talk about chapter 2-3). I really like this and I think the mystery is great, I just wish the reveal was a little better, even if it's not that consequential to the entire plot. Still, thanks for letting me know where we're at, I can't wait to see how it develops! :)

This might not be the story for me. The art is beautiful, the characters are mostly interesting, the whole concept is great, but I can't see how this could possibly end in a way that'd be satisfying to me.

There is literally not a single positive thing she'd get out of a relationship with Cesare. She can get money by doing the job, that she signed up for in the first place. Whatever status she gets out of Cesare will drop, once she becomes "the woman that sleeps with her brother". He is cruel to her(*).
They have nothing in common at all.

By making the second and third lead (knight and wannabe fiance) all normal and kind people, it makes the ever approaching romance feel like sending my beloved protagonist to the gallows.

(*) A cruel ML doesn't automatically mean, that there's no chance for a good romance. But he is cruel to her when she fails and when she succeeds. He is cruel to her when he's attracted to her and cruel to her when he despises her. Importantly, she isn't fighting back anymore. There is no romantic tension between them, as she fears for her life around him. He abused her into compliance and is upset she's compliant. He's an interesting and pretty realistic character, but I literally can't imagine a way they'd get together, that wouldn't make me rip my hair out.

I'm not sure if that's the intention, but this manga is awaking a lot mothering instincts in me. Perhaps grandma instincts even. Just want to sit him down and give him some sliced apples while we watch a nice family friendly movie.

I'm sorry, I have to admit this, while I do find Angel to be a genuinely charming and interesting character, I don't ship him with Remi at all. Not even a little. Obviously, the unreachable victory for me would be Remilia and Emi, but Remilia and her lady knight or even Thorne would be nice. Idkkkkkkkkk......the Yuri is too strong here. I can't find another manga where mc regularly drops lines declaring devotion, admiration and selfless love for another. :,((((

    Meisai March 12, 2025 3:03 am

I do agree that I don't feel like Remilia loves him. Really, she cannot love anyone else like she loves Emi, no one comes close. But I can see how, realistically, she would end up with Angel. Not only he is the best bachelor out there, she also admires his leadership skills and compassion and feels like she can trust him! But really what she loves the most is how much Angel loves "Emi" or Remilia's version of Emi's Remilia lol It's bonding through mutual interest. I like to think of them geeking out together lol

I agree with you, Remilia “loves” Angel just because he loves “Emi” as much as she do

One one hand the pacing in this story is drop dead gorgeous. The realistic colors combined with silent panels with subtle movements make this feel like living breathing world. All the characters feel much more real thanks to it.
On the other hand, it doesn't seem realistically compatible with a production pipeline of an entire regularly releasing manhwa. This chapter was beautiful, yes, but we basically didn't get anywhere. I hope it's just a one time thing, as it's horrible when artist gets tired halfway through a story and can't keep up the quality.

Actually true this artyle and coloring suits the novel angst touch but so many hiatus makes it for people to loss interest cuz barely 2 chapters come in 1 month which is actually disappointing if artist keep this way it would take her 4 years to complete everything this way
