They're sho cuteeee

Also Christ, Lysbett is looking rough. I love how the artist gradually showed it, instead of just making her really sickly in a later chapter.

I know a lot of people don't like Lysbett, but I do genuinely believe she cares about Sylhan. Perhaps she won't do anything to make his situation better, but there's a certain shithead next-in-line, who would make his situation much worse. However incompetent Lysbett seems, she's serving as a shield for Sylhan in Khalak.

ROMANTIC FEELINGS CONFIRMED POG POG
I still don't think they'll get together, but bittersweet one sided love is exactly where I think the story should have lead, it'd be nonsensical to make it about just platonic love

This is not a complaint at all, in fact, it was a highlight of the manga for me, but somewhere around the second chapter I was overtaken by this intense feeling of "Himekawa seems kind of dull-headed".

Like I can't even say if the author wanted to make him seem like a secretive character who can play up a role to get what he wants, because he was so empty-headed to me

Again, not complaining at all, imagining Himrkawa's two braincells working overtime to get out any reaction was extremely funny to me. 10/10

Whhhhdhdgrgr. Obviously, the realization that Yvonne is a doppelganger in every ending is a huge thing, as it means that all the cruel deaths Penelope faces in the games might not have been the fault of the characters alone. But. Idk.

My last comment on this manhwa was how happy I am that Penelope has someone on her side, but idk now. Like we've only caught brief glances at what kind of person the real Penelope was, yet the fact that she is so destroyed that her soul crumbled into nothing is so sad to me. Usually, I don't really like it when villainess manhwas do the "the og villainess was always the good one secretly!" thing, but here it works, because it just drives further the point of how alone Penelope always was. Yvonne recognized her, said that Penelope tried to stop her before and I'm thinking about how many times she tried to save everyone and no one believed her.

I never hoped the original Penelope would come back, but I assumed her death was more like falling asleep, them being worn down until there's nothingeft. ARGDHEHHSHAHHHHHHH I LOVE YOU PENELOPE I LOVE THEM BOTH AAAAAAGGHHHHUHU

Anyway on a less sappy note, the reason why this scene works on an emotional level is because the author masterfully build up the relationship between our Penelope and the og Penelope (OgP) from the start. Penelope sympathized with how along OgP must've felt, she refused to accept any apologies that OgP was meant to get and she tried to get OgP's will across, when it mattered. If Penelope never gave a shit about her, if she forgave those who hurt OgP for the sake of building relationships with them and if she constantly thought of her as an idiot, this scene would've meant nothing.

To sum it up: Duchess 50 tea recipes or whatever the fuck could learn a thing or two from this about how to set up important plot points early on

The art style is so magical, like opening a fairytale book when you're a little kid

I sort of avoided this for a while, because I thought the alcohol centric plot wouldn't really be my thing, but it's so good!! Not even good just in general, the alcohol is used amazingly in this!!! It works so well as a metaphor for queerness here arhggggh. Amazing art 10000/10

People are complaining about Courtney neglecting Richard and I find that bizarre. I guarantee you that half of the readers minimum are obsessed with villainess/historical romance manhwas and mangas one here as much as I am, so it makes me wonder, do you decide if you like characters based on if the main characters smile or frown around them???

Like it's such a common trope to make "the new crown princess" be a stupid irresponsible woman, who neglects her duties to indulge the crown prince. It's as common as publicly denouncing the mc at the ball. Yet here it bothers you?? She's doing everything she can to not be neglecting her role c'mon.

Also Richard is a grown man, he could communicate to a virgin noble woman that he's into anal. He can try to ask his wife to give him more attention.

100%. especially the part that richard should be a man and should say that he wants to be pegged.

CLOCK IT! Acting like Richard doesn’t also have things to do but always leaves then to his assistant, while she’s busting her ass doing her work HERSELF (with help of course, but ykwim).

I'm sho happy,,,

I've seen a lot of writing advice say that if a scene doesn't move the plot forward, it needs to be scrapped, but here's a direct proof of why I think it's false!
We need a moment to see how the characters get along, how they're at their happiest and what they do together. Without scenes like this, I'd think Izek has no sense of humor and he wouldn't be as charming! I'd think the family was only loving when they accidentally met, instead of actively pursuing spending time together! I'd think that Rubekia (RUBEKIAAAA!!!!!!!<333333) is still always in danger when left alone and outside, but now you can see her freely and happily moving about.

If you don't give reader the time to see how the characters are when they're not stressed or in danger, you'll never get to know them!
