That's so cute that Shamis also taught those kids a lesson. Although they learn how to use money and buy snacks at the store they've also learned a lesson that there ARE kind and generous people in this world like Shamis who are willing to share their wealth so people can get closer to achieving happiness, small or big. The world may be cruel as hell and they'll learn as they grow but they'll remember and appreciate all who are kind and generous so they should press to be the same.
I haven't commented on this story so far but I thought to now. Even though the translation isn't the best, it's still understandable. So thank you! To whoever is translating this. Also I love them they're super cute. Fox dude he's just that. Cunning, foxy, sly, mischievous and playful. He blackmailed MC but honestly? AIN'T NOBODY BELIEVING THAT "I'm a wolf species" BULL NUH UH BABY BOY. Puppy is naive, innocent, spicy. They're both a bit hot and cold but fox expresses himself physically more. They're just teen boys in the throws of puberty. I love them together. Also GUYS I ASSURE YOU IN A CHINESE YAOI/BOYS LOVE THERE WILL MOST LIKELY BE N O SMUT. Or it's only briefly mentioned/brushed over.
Gave me depression. /j For those saying it's unique, you are right. For those talking shit, shut up. I've read more manga for longer than you probably have been alive and able to read. It's really cool. The author made a fantastic story. Have I seen it before? Yes. Do I think the author portrayed the characters, their insecurities, their dark sides and the conflict very well? YES. It was an incredible read. Don't hesitate to read it. I would read a whole novel about this. Even longer. The art style was beautiful. I loved the use of metaphors and you have to be properly reading everything and thinking about the story while you read this manga to actually get some of it. If you're just looking for smut, this is not the place for you ! You can check out the trending page of the BL genre to find some good stuff.
Seriously! It's a pity we won't get to see more of this beautiful work or more work from this mangaka. I hope they're resting in peace. Also is it just me or am I the only one that gets super strong vibes that this story wasn't 100% supernatural??? I feel like the horns also represented trauma and other emotions and feelings the MC had. And when they fell off like a dear shedding it's antlers after the climax of the story and then the big plot twist at the end I could talk and theorize for hours.
yeah, I just found out they're passed away a couple of years ago. it broke my heart :( hope their and their family are in peace. now, about the story... OMG, 100% YES! the moment the horns fell off I was screaming internally like crazy! it was such a powerful allegory for all the traumas and/or strong emotions the MC had. and yes, the plot twist got me like- can't even explain! I needed more

So. We all agree that the creature/"monster" got humanized. He learned how to be a human and live amongst humans. Of course, he's not perfect YET. He's been living a little under a year as "Hikaru" when he's not. I'm really conflicted cause he HAS tried to kill people/MC. But he doesn't want to and doesn't like his "nature" or natural instincts of wanting other people's soul. But it's getting hard to control that "hunger". Still it's bittersweet. I think that the monster may die or die sacrificing his life for MC.
