Still, the mc was ready to be in a relationship with his crush if he accepted but kept his sexual relationship with the ml. I don't know about u but it is super weird for me. If the crush accepted, the mc would still be friends with his old fuck buddy. Which is very disrespectful for both to ml and the crush. So, yeah mc has many faults. And yes u can't accept someone be lovey dovey just because they fuck.

I don't think it's disrespectful if in that IF scenario they all decided to keep being friends. All consenting adults.
I mean, MC will get together with ML and most probably keep being friend with his old crush. Feeling of friendship for someone doesn't need romantic love neither lust.
There are people who have ex-lovers as friends or keep a civilized relationship with them. There are divorces who co-parent harmoniously and supportive of each other. The romantic love or sex can fade but friendship can remain or build. For some is possible, and of course for some other it doesn't.

As I said, I don't like that concept. I mean I don't want my partner to be all friendly with the person he used to fuck. And u are right, the romantic love or sex do fade.
