That woman may have done terrible things but she was in a life she didn't want having to raise the child from her rape. I would have gone crazy too in her place. I hope she finds her love and lives happily

Like the other person said, Wellmy was born out of love between her mother and her father, Clartes (of the ducal house). The mother was already pregnant when she was raped, but she didn't know until Wellmy was born (because of her vermilion eyes, which were the same as Clartes' own). To protect Wellmy, she lied about her heritage and started to plan her revenge on her rapist.
I also wish her ex-husband and first love, Clartes, would come to get her from the convent eventually. They need to talk. ╥﹏╥
The whole thing about Catherine is dumb. Our Fl RAISED HER with love and you mean to tell me she turned on her for a woman she was not even close with? It's just dumb. If they really wanted to make her a good villainess they would've made her a tragic one where the bitch brainwashes her to hate the fl (the 2 ridiculous threats she made are not brainwashing they just make they whole thing even less believable)
So true. Contemplating if I should just drop this or push through because of the dumb logic. It's sooo unbelievable that Catherine really saw FL as her mother and loved her only for her to switch up SO FAST to the point that she even hates the FL.
She didn’t turn for Alicia. She turned for power, prestige, and wealth. She was raised privileged in a life of wealth her whole life and told she was their heir. In an instant, that was at risk of being pulled away. She was more selfish than she was filial. It’s weird af but it doesn’t lack complete sense.
Please she was like 12 years old no 12 year old would suddenly HATE their mother and want their death because of money . Cause if it was turned into "i love her but i have to hate her for my survival and standing" maybe I would've liked it but no she full blown despise her like it makes no senseeee
Because she was not showed as a selfish child at first. She LOVED her mother and was nice and cute but did a complete 180 and became a monster because of one threat that made no sense (seeing as fl is shown as nice to anyone regardless of their standing)
Yeah and the comments seem to put the blame exclusively on that child like the whole thing is so weird
This!! She was shown as a good kid. Knowing that Alicia raised her IS supposed to be a good kid! Then at one revelation that good kid was gone. She accepted that the doctor was her mom without even hesitating for long.
It's the blood of alica ofcourse her daughter will be like her
Do you know about "the blood is thicker than water"?? Or "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". Sometimes bad genetic will be inherited.. The problem in this novel is that the change happens in a day. But well, human greed know no limit
Yeah but when people say that usually they don't talk about the genetics. They talk about the fact that when you raise a child, if you are an asshole your child will be too but in this case it just does not work cause she did not raise her :/
“Blood is thicker than water” doesn’t even work coz the full saying is “the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb” lol
