How they're handling this isn't bad. I wish they didn't go with this trope but seeing how nice he is to him even when he doesn't remember-- it's really sweet.
It's nice seeing them compromise and understand each other. Most yaoi doesn't do that or when they do-- it doesn't do well.
I think the dog talks like a regal noble.
