from what i read in the novel, he really did lose his memories from his accident. he later gets into another one and then gets his memories back. he becomes trash again and thought that lily took advantage of his affection during that time. when lily finally escaped, boy got crazy trying to find her and wanted to bring her back to him. there’s a lot more going on in between that time. Also, a 2nd male lead that ML gets crazy jealous over lol can’t wait to see how he looks because he seem so cute in the novel

Hyowoon finally wakes up and remembers his mate. He rushes outside to save Taehyuk who is badly injured and use the orb to try and save Taehyuk. Then we go into Taehyuks mind and he’s back in his regular daily work life without Hyowoon. During his work he encounters mini Hyowoon (Hyowoon in his kid form) Taehyuk has no memory of Hyowoon and assumes he is lost. Hyowoon crying shows Taehyuk the orb and Taehyuk touches it, then they appear to be transported outside and mini Hyowoon hugs Taehyuk as if he’s holding him back, we soon see what looks like a grim reaper on a boat telling Taehyuk that he can join cross (afterlife) together with him (grim reaper). Then Taehyuk see’s teenager Hyowoon hugging him and holding him back again. It seems like Hyowoon is trying to tell Taehyuk not to follow and to stay with him using each of his appearances kid, teen (hasn’t showed adult Hyowoon yet it will probably be in chapter 59-60)
