As people said the characters are so unlikable and the plot was a hot mess but I can’t shake this feeling the execution of the story itself.
The pacing, the dialogue, the art… all actually amazing. Incredible really. If the plot was tweaked in a few places then this story would be so good.
Remove the cousin aspect and make Jimin older, make Kyujin less selfish and impulsive. Even in his inner dialogue he had no reasoning on why he went back and forth until much later and even that didn’t make sense. Id go as far to say that he needed to grow a fucking back bone.
The timeskip is when he should have been living by himself and learn how to live his life not revolving around his cousin. Kyujin had no development and no sign of it.
Doyeol and Jimin almost had development and then it got twisted at the end >.>

I usually don’t post stuff like this but I’m feeling confident about this view.
There’s a game I play while reading any BL and it’s “Can you spot the demisexual?”
And goddamn, the professor really is demisexual. I don’t usually post this stuff cause I worry people will come after me in the comments but I really feel those demisexual vibes from him.

BUT not enough to get me attached to the characters. Could say it’s too short but I don’t think that’s it. I’ve read quite a few of these short mangas and I’ve learned it’s not the amount of story we are given, it’s how it’s told.
It’s the pacing at which it’s told, there’s no build up to the beginning of their relationship. (yeah the quick hookup is a trope and common but I mean when the mc meets the ml initially for the first time)
It’s quite unfortunate cause these types of characters had potential for an interesting story. Even the friend of the mc, we got only a few panels of him but he was pretty interesting.
Honestly such a cute lil story. It would have been better without the confession at the end cause it seemed totally pointless and extremely possessive.
I feel like this would hit different if there were more chapters, the pacing wasn’t too bad but it felt like the end was rushed.
