I can't imagine what would the king have to do to win the painter's heart so this story gets a romantic end. Like, he killed his mother, threatened, abused him, brutally killed half of the country and old concubine who was his lover's mother. Like, i can't see a happy end with these two
I'm sorry, but who wrote this? I have tolerance for reading sick shit and rape scenes, if the story is suspensful and interesting. So, who's idea was to write such detailed rape/torture scenes, and barely sprinkle actual story in between rape/torture scenes. If it's not every chapter, it's in every other chapter..... Author, it's okay to cut it short, to have it implied and just tell the actual story. Because at this point it's not horrorish, it's not shocking, it's just plain boring.

It's a well written and a coherent story. No filler scenes (except sex scenes lol), no meaningless chatter, all chapters are cliffhangers that draws you to read more. Yes, the beginning is awful for our gentle mc, but have in mind this isn't romantic comedy. It's gritty, suspensful, sad and will make you question the relativity of human nature and emotion.
I got quite surprised by season 2 and i honestly did not expect some of the backstory to prosecutor's twisted nature. Some of you don't prefer these types of stories, that's fine. I like this suspense and urge to feel deep emotion with characters. So far so good.
I also want to emphasize the amazing art, they are both beautiful, and prosecutor's constant blushing face is the best thing i saw in a while

It's entertaining enough. Some scenes are ridiculous, like Chase acting like a brat "grow taller" "change faces". Also, the cannon appearance of Pittman is so random. I hope it holds meaning to the plot, and that it isn't just a show of from author's previous work.
