yes, i agree that if this is the reason she died— it’s stupid. however, i feel like a lot of commenters don’t realize how fragile life really can be. a knock on the head at the right angle can kill anybody depending on the circumstances— while somebody could walk away from it completely fine, similarly depending on the circumstances. it’s crazy how many simplistic and ‘stupid’ deaths occur in this world.
honestly, it just makes it all the more tragic. a little baby asks his mom to put the star on top of the tree, and it leads to her death. the fact that something so innocent and minuscule could lead to death, grief and such persistent inner guilt and turmoil just makes it all the worse.

off-topic to recent chapters but i absolutely adore how this author has really dynamic, diverse and interesting characters. i understand that the settings are in america— but regardless, it’s hard to find manhwas that depict realistic characters— people of color, of different weights, of different personalities that don’t just scream “useless background character”, etc.. it’s really refreshing
