.........i can't be the only one who's dissapointed in season 2 and the ending, can i? It's just that season 1 set up such a good premise and conflict, and season 2 couldn't live up to its hype. And the ending just.....doesn't fit at all. Like fine, it's a happy one, but it feels like an ending to a different story, not theirs. Simply put, it's incredibly rushed and fairy tale-ish, and now i feel empty instead of relieved that it's ended.
Right :( like what do you mean jin knew how to build a house, that's so random? And the fact that matthew's grandmother has been watching him all this time without helping him even once is just..... urgh. It's so forced and weird and very out of the blue :(
in my opinion it's been downhill since the drug-rape plot, this manhwa had been different than others but since that chapter it became very cliche and allover the place.
The relationship is like a shining beacon of light and pureness but i just can't stand the sex scenes. I literally hate them so much, why should jinha cry about how much it hurt over and over again?? Why is this even a thing in manhwas like seriously, seeing your partner in pain during sex is NOT a cute trope, authors please get a grip i just want to see my babies being wholesome without having to tiptoe around shitty sex scenes!
I want people to understand that they're father and son for real, eventhough they're unrelated by blood. It's pseudo incest, and i wish people would stop denying it by arguing that they're not actually related, because Nanmu cleary raised Pilgyun for 6 years since Pilgyun was 5 years old, and they clearly view each other as dad and son AS WELL as lovers. It's a fucked up dynamic between fucked up people, i personally love it because it never pretended to be otherwise, so people please do the same :D It is meant to be fucked up, just own it!
Yesss people seem to be uncomfy with Pilgyun calling Nanmu "dad", but if you think about it, there are a LOT of BL manhwas out there with pseudo-incest theme, where someone raised a kid and ended up being their lover when the kid grew up. It's just that those manhwas aren't this blatant, so people can pretend that the relationship isn't fucked up. It's impossible to do that with this manhwa though. That's why i love and respect this author for embracing the problematic theme, and writing the characters and story accordingly.
Shingun really frustrates me sometimes like, a lot of the problems in his life since meeting Jake stems from his own doing. He knows it's dangerous but he always, always has to stick his nose into it. Like pleasee i just want him to stay put and safe. Everyone is always warning him and he's always telling himself not to get involved but then he walks straight in to the eye of the storm, every single time. I mean yeah, he said himself that he can't help but get drawn to danger, but he's so puzzling to me. It's like watching a horror movie and witnessing the main character make the wrong move again and again.
Damnnnnn i absolutely shoud've kept this unread for much longer because what the heck.....what the heck what the heckkkk this DESTROYED me for real like how am i supposed to do after reading such a life changing work????how can any other manga compare????? i'm actually going insane with how much emotion this manga has wrung out from me.............anyway one of the best reads ever.

This story stressed me the fuck out man, i dropped this once already but i thought i'd give it another chance and actually finish it but goddd. Reading this as someone on the spectrum gave me anxiety, the ending is so abrupt (forsaking an awesome scholarship for a two month relationship like come onnn), they barely knew each other and their communication skill made me wanna bang my head on the wall. Or is that what the author intended? I know that their relationship is so frickin messy as a contrast to Sangwoo's orderly life, but they remind me too much of my college friends' overly dramatic (and short lived) relationships and yeahhhh not my cup of tea i guess.
PS. Art is superb but the visual storytelling that i loved so much in season 1 is nowhere to be found in season 2 and 3. At least Jaeyoung is smokin hot, i'll give you that.
Thought u were me for a sec
