I'm starting to think that a lot of japanese people think like that bitch. I've read a lot of manga and honestly a lot of them have this kind of mindset or way of thinking and some of them doesn't have common sense or logic etc. I mean seriously tho even in shoujo mangas.
Its just being parasocial lots of people are like that people be going crazy fot it be it kpop idol, western artists or even tiktok star
But honestly tho even if the story is not about idols or any celebrity, some people are still like that in every manga.
Thats because its a very mainstream plot in manga especially romance
