The ending wasn't what one would expect.
......
I mean Cesare did all kinds of shit to unify Italy 'cause that was his number one goal and in the end he's sick and doesn't even have the will to do anything because of Chiaro's death, like dude wtf they were separated for a long time and things would never ever| be normal again between them, how is that he lost all of his ambition ,I get that Chiaro's death affected him but I always thought that his own interests were above everything else...
On another note, Chiaro's death and final battle were also so simple... I expected a little more action... That was so out of the blue, to have that Rodrigo have suddenly a boost of energy and decide to reveal against Cesare when he was so meek all until nowl, wth with that change of heart !?
....
My thoughts on Chiaro's betrayal are kind of mixed, You know I wanted Lucrezia to be happy cause she was so sweet at first and one could claery see her suffering for her unrequited love, but then she revealed as some needy girl when she was with Chiaro all she could say was "Don't leave me "I don't care about anything as long as I'm with you" She forgot real quick about her unrequited love and opened her legs without much resistance... even though she too was playing dumb ignoring Chiaro's feelings until it was convenient for her, there's Chiaro who despite recognizing his feelings towards Cesare he just ignores all of the times Cesare tries to approach him and go with Lucrezia leaving him to suffer all alone when HE said very clearly that he'd protect him from darkness ffs.
I just don't understand why!!! Chiaro you goddamn idiotΣ( ̄□ ̄||) you loved him too and decide to play fool even when Cesare was the one with enough balls to make the first move!
(/TДT)/ can I have him back pls?
He’s so cute as a dog though!
