I wouldn't call it a fetish... It isn't just a sexual thing. I'm pretty sure that the sensei is actually transexual and the student isn't being "swept away", he already loved the sensei and just decided that he still does even after finding out that the sensei basically wants to be a girl (its not just clothes, he also wants to ACT like a girl as shown when he does the student's makeup and says he's always wanted to do things like that), it is a VERY mature decision (especially from a high schooler).
I don't understand why that would automatically mean he's transgender...? I mean, he only ever BOUGHT cute things before his wife warned him away from them. And the first person he put makeup and a wig on was the BOY not himself. Why CAN'T guys like things that are more commonly associated with girls? People really need to read Otomen. He's seen in the manga wearing women's sleep ware and buying undergarments from a women's clothing store... It is heavily implied that he didn't just buy women's clothing, but wore them as well. As i pointed out earlier, it isn't just that he likes to dress as a woman that makes him transgender, that'd be a transvestite, it's the fact that he wants to ACT like a girl (he says he's always wanted someone he could dress up) in addition to dressing as one that makes me believe he's transgender. If you read through my reply, i actually never even used his tastes as a reason for him probably being transgender, you brought that up all yourself... I said that he wants to look and act like a girl despite being a man so he appears to be transgender.
I agree that it's not a fetish, there's nothing sexual about it. But frankly, I think he just likes wear and buy cute stuffs, no 'girly', just cute. He's more close to be consider a transvestite than a transgender person. (Also, a transexual person is the one who already went through sex change)

Yes, that anon already corrected me to transgender, i accidentally said transexual. I suppose that is a valid view on things as well, that being that he just likes "cute" things. I just don't personally think so. I wasn't saying that he is explicitly transgender, just that i thought he was.
