I actually finished reading the novel and there’s still so much more to unfold in this story. I know most of you won’t agree with their love story but that’s why it’s the best one out there. It’s not the typical problems that a relationship can encounter or solve. I don’t wanna give out too much information but this story will never be boring. It’s amazing how the author created this one. Even though I’ve finished the novel I still find myself reading the updating chapters of the manga.
You have NO IDEA how satisfied I am to see jonghyun’s pathetic state, he looks like a dumb f*ck and I’m glad Hajin gets to use him and make him suffer more mehehehe he doesn’t deserve a swift death but a slow agonizing suffering in his remaining days. I really hated how he got to Hajin’s body first so this was a satisfying revenge.
Anyways, its obvious Hajin doesn’t want to kill Namwoo, he’s just anxious to know. I know he also misses him and I hope he’ll eventually know how Namwoo sacrificed so much for his sake like restoring his noble status

Nobody really apologized for what happened to the empress . . . she is constantly living in pain inside, especially when she sees her ex-lover. Her anger was just a cry for justice. It’s like when the MC wins as the heavenly empress, it will truly mean the late emperor has won again and all that she endured was for nothing (Ofc not really, cause I’m sure in the future the MC can change her mind and be the best daughter in law but its inevitable that the empress currently thinks this way).
I know the MC suffered but she was still judged fairly by the empress during the competition too. If the Empress was the MC, you’d realize she had the most suffering in this story. You might not agree but I’m telling u the reason why her anger is acceptable to me. She was also once a girl like the MC who wants to be with her love.
I’m so glad we’re able to read the officials now (Thank you so much!) so that more people can appreciate it. And it’s such a relief because now, more people will get how actually good it is.
It was such a disappointment to see that people only reduced its worth before on sunbae being the red flag and a grapist. Somehow it spiraled on peeps accusing readers that liked the story to be grape apologists and all that stuff. Those kind of readers only tell me how superficial they read and actually didn’t get the essence of the entire story.
Basically, they’re soulmates and are connected to every lifetime (as we can see on the side chapters). Sunbae was immediately drawn to Hosik and did whatever he can to claim his love back. His approach was definitely against reality morals but it told us how desperate his soul was to be together with Hosik again. I kinda saw it as his instinct need to seize Hosik for all the times he lost him in their past lives. Doing all that which rewarded the life he has now with him, happily married with two beautiful children.
As a reader, I always find it laughable how some readers apply real-world morals to a fictional story. If you think that way, then you shouldn’t be reading stories like these or rather fictional stories in the first place (trust me babe, this story is not the worst one out there too).
Ultimately, you are RESPONSIBLE for what you read. Nothing is ever forced upon you and there’s always a choice to put down a story if it makes you uncomfortable. If your reasoning is if a story such as this becoming popular and might influence the wrong audience. Uhm hun . . . how is that the author’s fault? did he/she tell you to accept the issues happening in it? Did the author force the story to be popular? “Oh but grape shouldn’t be necessary to make a good story” if u think like that then you’re downright stupid.
What kind of reader are you to demand perfection for every story you encounter that’s based on fiction? It’s like asking life to be all good which you know doesn’t happen. If you’re triggered by it then there are warnings for a reason and these stories were made for those actual mature adults that know these don’t apply to real life and are made up situations to add substance or depth to a story. If you don’t agree then respectfully PLEASE don’t read stories such as this. You are obviously not ready for it or possibly at an age where it’s difficult for you to discern fiction from reality. This is a spoonful explanation to the phrase “Read with discretion”
