Well, whether to have mercy on haruki or not, it still depends on the author though. There's nothing we readers can do haha. That's the thing about stories, whether we embrace it as it is and see the bright side of it or getting all unsatisfied with what had happen. I mean that kid seriously love his bro, but his starting method is just wrong because of his past mend him to be like that in order to receive love. Considering how much both sides have sufferred with each other, might as well they try to make a new chapter. I think that's what hikaru is trying to do now. And he just wont give up i can assure that.
For me, haruki do still have soul, it's just that he started to lose it all because he himself knows that he can't run away not because hikaru is so persistent but he knows no matter what happen, only hikaru will seriously never let him be alone and he kinda want that attention but are also scared because he was raped in the first place.

The situation haruki is in was because of hikaru in the first place hikaru dont want to leave him because he want to fuck him .he tried to run away but hikaru caught him now even if haruki fell in love with him thats not love .in case of hikaru he is selfish bastard who want his own happiness he wanted him no matter what the cost is he made haruki like this i am sorry but thats not true love .just because he has messed up past does not give him the right to rape another person and destroy his whole life.you called this love he os like a bird in a cage he has lost his will now.ending up with hikaru will be a tragedy not love .if you want to see tragedy thats fine but dont name it as love because thats not what it is

If it's the author decision to let the story be like that there's still nothing all you unsatisfied readers can do though. Besides, it still havent reached the last chapter though, you all already waste your breath on this. Hahaha for me this story is still the same as other seme rape uke then uke loves him back type. Just it is a bit serious because the uke is struggling so much more and i think he actually become way more depressed after senpai leaves him. He seemed more confused when he was first raped because they're brothers rather than being depressed just like after senpai left him.
