I think it's crazy to have the MCs goals this entire story to center around her sister, and then barely have said sister appear. She wasn't even in the ending!! Rather than letting the past go it felt more like the past sister was all we got to see!! "I'll rely on you more and tell you my struggles" she says, and then never contacts her again. Seriously. Romance is fine, but this is what I hate abt this genre.

Tbh I don't think any single person was at fault here. Which is why I sorta dislike thag they frame Jinwoo as wrong for "leaving" the other alone, and not giving as much attention as he used to after getting a job.
I feel like the root of the issue here has not been solved. Communication people. Communication. Jinwoo's feelings clearly never changed, Candy just didn't feel it anymore. Which is when they should have had a long discussion about their relationship. Which, might I add, they didn't do even at the end of this.
This ending isn't too different from the "original" ending, if you think about it. Instead of Arth and Payne, it's Rebecca and Naska who endure an unrequited love. Rebecca in the og story harrassed many people, attempted murder, and was killed along with her father. Johannes was, what, unfaithful and a douche? So he and his father were killed. Sasha, much like the "og" Lilith, faced hardships, but earned the love of many trustworthy people and changed them for the better.
Ultimately, Sasha did not change much. She simply changed different people.
Yes... she just changed paths of different people but her impact to each character has exponentially that changed the course of the original story... that is the fearfully one of the hidden scary skills a person could do. The art of presuation.
Each character is trapped into their own shells (childhood upbringing and/or traumas and each of their own circumstances) and like a little nudge of giving advice won't even bend the character but with Sasha's intervention.. slowly, they have more positive outlook of themselves.
It is sad that Rebecca and Naska truly did not have their own good endings within their desires but in hindsight. It is hard to give each character their wanted endings.
I agree! I think it's a realistic ending. But it's bittersweet to me that she didn't create a "better" ending, just flip flopped who suffered and who grew.
In the original story, it was Lilith who was the voice of persuasion who changed people for the better and caused unrequited love. In this one, it is Sasha.
