Im guessing the reason he treats the daughter coldly infront of her was most likely due to the stupid emperor. But its kinda sad that this resulted in misunderstandings that made the daughter think her dad hates her, if only they both communicated maybe she wouldn't have did what she did in the original novel.
After reading more chapters, I can kinda see that the fact that her dad probably sent her to the underground prison to protect her since the idiot king will hurt her

Pretty obvious that the uke's bestfriend love the uke and the dongseng love the uke's bestfriend. There is this chapter where the uke tried the doctor's move on his bff and his bff was shock cause he almost couldn't control his expression but uke was too dense as usual to notice whereas the dongseng sitting opposite him was focused on him hence noticed his feelings.
Thats why now when the dongseng saw that his hyung has seen the uke kissing the doctor he asked his hyung to drink with him one on one.
When you love someone your focus is only them in your eyes so you will notice their actions more obvious.
