As i said soul swapping doesn't happens in real life. And legally it does not considered as pedophile. ( pedophile is someone who is grooming or dating a minor) and legally 18 is a adult age. Law does not work on what people think.
And in the story the old man didn't initiated anything. even after knowing about everything the ML chose to be with him. Nothing was forced ,uncensual and illegal. If people don't want to read it that's that but calling writer weird for writing something which is not toxic like other stories is wrong (︶︿︶)

In my opinion, religion, in this story, is not painted in a bad light, it is the people who paint it on a bad light. Religion's own people. It is a good story, and putting your shoes on what they have experienced lets you understand that, God was their salvation, but the people close to them was hell.
It was just triggering for me and isn’t something I could continue BUT I have no doubt the story was good

I saw the end chapter as I skimmed through it after seeing some stuff and I happened to see the Jesus cross statue getting shot in the head with a gun and it made me very uncomfortable I also didn’t like how the parents just threw it all on god idk just didn’t sit right with me
But I totally understand if people don’t feel the same way! It’s just how I grew up and what I was taught and I still believe till this day not because I was forced too but because I want too
