Well, you also have to account Ruka's behavior "i'll kick you if you touched it again" all of his true feelings were in his thoughts maybe that's why Taisei acts like that, maybe they act like that because they don't know their feelings for each other lol. They're both confusing.
If you read chapter one when Ruka basically said he just needed Tai's dick. He also acts indifferent towards Tai. They are both equall at fault.
I assume it's more like, Taisai somehow bit Ruka when they were younger, so he's his mate and therefore is with him. Ruka thinks Taisai is only sleeping with him during his heat out of responsibility and that he doesn't actually like Ruka. However, Taisai actually likes Ruka but thought that Ruka didn't like him, so he only came over when contacted so that he could continue to be with Ruka. Taisai is upset to find out Ruka has somebody else.
There was probably some big argument when he got bit-like he wasn’t ready, or it was accidental, and it just never turned into something real. So now they’re stuck in a loop where they each want the other, but feel hated or like a burden. (They’ve never even met each others families, much less discussed major things, like a sick mom) so Ruka is trying to end the cycle for the alpha’s sake, even though he knows it’ll hurt him most (not just emotionally, but also to not have an alpha during heat cycle).
Ruka’s self sacrificing for the sake of the person who put him in the situation is really the only thing that bothers me. The alpha should take responsibility for trapping another to him forever.

Why do I feel that Daato's personality in this serie is very different from the other one? In Pendulum, he seems more like a cool person (but with rich inner world) but in here, he's more lively i guess, he expresses his emotions more. I get that people change as they grow but somwhow it just feel like they're 2 difference person rather than the older version and the younger version.

He's matured and no longer has that burning hatred of being bonded to a beast. I would also assume a lot of the things that made him so volatile are solved by the time he shows up in Pendulum. So with those problems gone, he doesn't need to put up that rough and tough mask on anymore

NOT TO MENTION, YOU WAS IN PAIN OF SICKNESS :) Like seriously, when the wife was in the worst condition, you two decided to do that :)
