Like idk if his character even has emotional capacity to showcase the guilt and emotion he will be experiencing. Because he's not showing longing for Dan. He's depressed and spiralling because for the first time in a very long time he has lost not just a match but his self worth. The brands are pulling out, people switching teams, and he's guilty because he accused dan and he left without any explanation. He's a mess but not because he has fallen head over heels for him, I feel that's a long way
I think it's because as a character we don't know much about him. We know he's obsessed with his fighting and that he's aggressive. We know he believes he needs to have sex before a match to win. Like we don't have a more 3 dimensional idea of him as a character. Like if there's anything that drives him to obsess over fighting, etc etc. We can't follow the logic train that the character is going on. Like JK hasn't really been fleshed out for us. Or maybe that is all there is to him. Some people are just boring and don't have much of a life. Who knows? Not us.
Please don't think that I'm saying if we knew more about him then we could understand him and not hate on him. Understanding a character and their background and whatnot doesn't mean you condone their actions or are on their side or that you like them. Like, understanding doesn't equal acceptance.
We just know much more and have seen more sides to KD in comparison to JK.
True, you made some really good points! I was more so commenting how the author doesn’t really give us much to go on. For example, jk and Dan having sx doesn’t imply to me how he can even form an emotional connection to Dan. Jk as a character is so ambiguous. Jk’s rights and wrongs are a whole other can of worm I don’t want to get into lol.
Some of the comments talking rudely about her is depressing. She made a horrible mistake and I was upset too in the beginning, but as humans we are allowed to make mistakes and grow from that mistake. What she did was inexcusable and it is a good thing she learned from the situation.
This is a story and it’s fiction but I know that some of us can relate to the story. Life isn’t smooth sailing and sometimes life is hard. Thats when we could make mistakes, but our mistakes don’t make us who we are. It shapes us into who we are and into a better human. Spread positivity and allow yourself to be human ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I completely agree with the both of you and what's up with the young readers I mean at the end of day it's a story, a book. I just laugh at those annoying, angry comments like did a story really make you feel so angry. And when I see comments like oh shes a kid or she's should have knew as an adult. Like who the f cares, mistakes happen and she apologised. We all make mistake whether we like it or not. That's life and shit happens!
