I'm uninterested in hating on future romance plots just because a snot nosed child is being stupid and insecure in the present. This is why character development is important and IT HASN'T HAPPENED YET FOR RYUCHEONG! Romance isn't even a main focus in the story! Yayul is a precious sweetheart bc he realized how much he loves Yeon and became kinder through her efforts and his experiences. I trust this story to do all these characters justice because it hasn't failed me yet so I would appreciate the ML discourse efforts to be redirected to smthg more valuable like appreciating the dad in all his glory

I also love how they're not just sweeping lily's mom's previous wrongdoings under the rug but instead show her actively trying to be better. It makes her more human seeing that she's made mistakes but the important thing is she's willing to recognize those mistakes and be better for her daughter <3
