Am I the only one confused when Diana was chatting with Jiles about how cruel he was with her and suddenly it changes to another place as if no important conversation ever happened?
I will keep reading it because the world they live in seems interesting, but the story looks like a train without drivers.
Girl... You should spend no more money and your life for guys anymore. Get up, tell them to go fuck themselves, change cities, life, and live comfortable for the rest of your life. Depending on people never got good results.

This is the "ideal" answer, the most objective one. We are humans and we never get perfection, just the bare minimum. I am sure you did the best you could with what you know and the way you were back then.
Same happens here, she depends on dudes, and she doesn't know other ways of living. Sometimes, having a friend or somebody that cheers you up can make you change, but this dude is making her going down the same road with a different perspective... It's like "take care of me", he said, "depend on me", he said. Those are sweet words for somebody who is pretty sensitive or is already broken.
It's difficult to be alone after all, I should apply that to myself, but we are not perfect :D
