Reading his side of the story is like "aha aha faking bastard we knew all along what were you thinking, could we skip to the part you are in the deepest shit of the world?"
I know that some people reading this are thinking something like this.
We knew his thoughts, now we need some blood. Make him pay :)

I like him. He could be a barbarian, but they have depicted a dude that wants to play but not with your feels.
I like her. Feels like she needs to be protected, but it is a lie. In the end, she can move to the next target.
This last chapter with both of them together was nice, I have been expecting this moment for a looong time.

I have seen several stories already where mls try to fix what they did in the past. Some of them are unforgivable, but as the story develops, they still make you think there is a possibility, because the ml in question isn't the same dude from before, and to send you the vibes of "you should be forgiving".
Sorry, but nope. Even if your ml is always black haired and cannot change, it would be great to see a story where the ml tries hard, gets a "ok, you're forgiven", but doesn't end up with the female lead in the end.
You can try to create this type of environment. It seems more difficult, since all the stories go about almost the same, and if you make the black haired male lead being punished and not forgiven, or forgiven in the end but not married with the FL... That would be NEW :D
I still love these stories, but it seems that some people in the comments know already where this is going and they do not like it XDDDDD
You should read Duchess of The Attic. She does exactly this. When the husband matures and thinks he can ask for forgiveness. Spoiler the ML is the childhood friend.
