The should end this soon. Its too lost in the sauce I can't taste what the main course is anymore.
The amount of second embarrassment i feel is crazy. I didnt realize she said that out loud till Helios questioned her. I-
Tbf the younger sister was given no context on how or why the MC supposedly killed their mom. All she knows is that everyone seemed to hate her, and for the longest time, didn't know why. Then got told at a random tea party that the reason why was cause the MC is apparently a mom murderer. To which our homegirl didnt try to defend herself, I know she was stunned, but like that does not help her case in the slightest. So, for me personally, if the lil sis genuinely apologizes I could stomach the idea of the MC and her talking.
I don't think what they have is unsalvageable. I won't feel some type of way if the MC chose not to. Its within her right and completely valid if she doesn't. I just think that their foundation isn't ruined and they could rebuild. The rest of the family though? Full of tweakers. Jade may be nicer but hes still a fuckin dick and the older is missing all critical thinking skills. Don't even get me started on the dad.
I could see it now. Jade self-reflects and regrets his actions and tries to apologize then gets denied. Probably feels like the MC is required to start over with him just cause HE wants a second chance. Older brother is probably even more entitled to whatever shenanigans he decides to get up to, and the father? Thay old, dastardly, man will continue to feel like the MC owes him. The only regret the old tweaker might feel is not trying harder to pretend liking her to get what he wanted.
I know these kinds of author's never have a sibling properly rekindle a relationship because everyone in their eyes is the same level of plot device, or if they do somehow reconcile, its cause the MC is just a fish brained door mat. I would just find it more interesting if the little sister makes a real attempt, respects boundaries, proves herself and they start over later.
I want this story to be smutty but non romantic, or like an ultra slow burn. They'd be delicious on eachother and I want that heart pounding tension, but I want notjing to come of it as long as possible. At the very least if it is romance th ML falls first.
Been reading mangas/manhwas for a while and recently have been into novels too
.
I love reading and watching kdramas and surprisingly I rarely watch anime. I also started watching cdramas my first one was WIFTY!
.
I love j-music my fave genres are v-kei and shibuya-kei
I like how everyone is a foil of eachother. On paper they have very similar stories but their choices, and who they are at their core as people, is what cause them to diverge so much from eachother.
I never read the novel BTW but the story seems almost over so I feel its time for me to break down the characters for the last time.
Diana/Hestia: God's chosen one, changed the life of those around them for the better and the worst.
-The first time around brought disaster for Kael but more importantly ruined Hestia's life. The second time was a blessing for Kael a curse for Diana's.
- Hestia was given a second chance because she truly cared about Kael, and she stayed true to herself. Even when despairing she still loved Kael and wanted to help him. Power didn't corrupt her, and whether everything went her way or not didnt deter her. (ie she didnt get lost in the sauce) She was willing to compromise, and most of all was willing to listen(be open minded) to the one she cared about. In chapter 108 when her resolve was falling apart and she felt like she had nothing. She was still willing to hear Kael and actually digest what he was saying. Hestia genuinely cared about him, whether he had nothing or everything didn't matter. Her love was unconditional and she was willing to meet Kael where he was because he was already at the half way point for her.
(Homegirl would have loved him even if he was penniless commoner(worm). The only reason she fought so hard to give him everything she did was because she felt he deserved better)
- Diana was technically given a redo just as Hestia was, even if it was a bit more indirectly. The first time around she ruined herself with almost no outside influence, and the second (indirect attempt) faired no better. If she was given her memories she would not have changed for the better; if anything she would have spiralled even more out of control. She may have "loved" Helios but power corrupted her and once the going got tough she crumbled under the pressure. When put to the test she closed herself off. Its clear from the beginning it was never about what was in her yard the other side was always greener. She liked Helios because at the start he had far more to offer her. Kael was quite literally a second male lead she could use, and the second he stopped being useful she dropped him for the sake of reputation. She did the reverse when she felt like her life was falling apart. Helios not only ran to the finish line for her, he carried her there, and she refused to take that one last step forward, because it meant was she going to be inconvenienced.
(Diana was given all the things Hestia had to fight for on a silver platter and she squandered it.)
Hestia: Appeared selfish on the surface because she spoke of Kael's needs and wants as her own. But she would have given away everything she had for Kael.
Diana: Appeared selfless but was unwilling to do anything that didnt benefit her. She came first no matter what and only did things that benefited her or made her look good and expected Helios to give to her unconditionally.
Helios/Kael: Hopeless love interests, loyal to a fault,
were wrapped around the fingers of the 2 God's chosen.
Helios: Despite everything by the way I do believe Helios is a truly good person. (Dare I even say the best written character and I oop-) He made mistakes but he actually learned from them, and loved Diana unconditionally. Even now (as of chapter 109) he still doesnt regret loving her even after she just said she'd rather have picked Kael. (Notice how she said picked, sounds like someone never loved either of them for them) He did something terrible and wants to be better. Helios had everything and is unfortunately going to have to learn to lose some of the most important things to him.
Hestia/Helios: This bit is going to be controversial but I low-key feel like Helios and Hestia are almost the same type of character. Theyre both named after Greek Gods/Goddesses, had a very selfless type of love, both are schemers, and had similar personalities. Though in the end Helios has to learn how to walk away from what he loves and Hestia has to learn how to hold on to what she loves.
Kael: Hot take but I do think Hestia's unreliable narration leads us to believe that Kaelus killed those people for Diana because he selflessly loved her, but I think it was the opposite. He killed them with a selfish desire to somehow convince Diana to love him and put him first. The way he crashed out after Diana turned against him definitely backs up my interpretation. I also think that for him, Helios' and his friendship was on the rocks the second they were opposiing eachother for the same girl. Because if the roles were reversed and Diana picked him, while abandoning Helios, would Kaelus still have defended him?
Kael/Diana: I would also like to point out that Diana is a foil for Kael as well. When the world turned against him he self destructed but chose to take it out on himself because at the end of the day he is a good person. Whereas Diana self destructed and literally tried to destroy everyone else around her because she could care less about other people. Kaelus(Caelus) and Diana are named after Roman Goddess/Gods respectively.
-Kael is learning to be a selfless lover while Diana has reaffirmed her selfish love.
The smut is fuckin ssscrumptious. Nothing they're doing is all that ground breaking or kinky, but the author makes their chemistry super fuckin good. Its such a treat to see them go down on eachother.
I'm not too swayed by either of their reactions. I understand them both well enough that i think either one is justified. At some point getting revenge is too much work and its much easier to forgive and go on. So I understand why Kaelus would want to stop. Its dragging on a part of his life that he no longer wants to be trapped by. If the revenge was truly for him then when he was satisfied, then thats that. Hestia on the other hand has had her whole second life revolve around vengeance. Its what kept her motivated and trying to live life, so dropping it now would basically mean she had no purpose. Diana still being princess can be seen as nothing she's done mattering. I think they both are valid situations to be in.
Little A having an oral fixation was not in my bingo card. So far everything he can put his mouth on, he has put his mouth on. I can see him being such a good service top/bottom. He clearly cares a lot, and just so happens to be a little freak and enjoys the act too.
The crazy part is, is that one Helio got humbled and opened his eyes he realized he was a jackass. Diana only gets more delulu.
The way that this is rated so lowly and I was expecting the worst. Its just bland it definitely doesn't deserve that 6.7 I've seen worse get better scores
I think its interesting during sex their roles reverse. Gozu is this cocky guy with a larger then life attitude, and Eve is almost pathetic kind of dude. But when its time to get down and dirty Gozu gets all whiny and small. While Eve becomes almost sadistically mean.
Thr father is an interesting character to me because we as the reader think he's terrible and awful since we know he's helping no one . But people who want to constantly be told they're doing great and have their delulus fed would probably think he's great.
I'm not supporting 17/20 year olds dating this is not what this comment is for. I just want the people throwing the word "grooming" around to chill. Not every age gap involves it, and just cause is dating someone younger does not mean it is. Just as much as the opposite is true. Someone younger is 100% capable of grooming someone older. The same is true for people of the same age.
Its not an age locked forbidden technique that magically people stop being capable of doing when their partner is an adult.
So yall throwing it around when so far the older dude has done nothing of the sort waters down the meaning. It's a serious accusation and a very serious thing to have happen to someone. I get that there is a very reasonable chance of a power dynamic problem to begin, but so far Mr. Future-Teacher has been very reasonable. (Ignoring the fact he just agreed to date a minor. I wish that we knew how close he was to being 18 cause personally if he's like a month or two away I wouldn't tweak as much) So if people could chill till we start seeing evidence of a problem that would be nice.
I also see this as a weird reservation people have, because the girl with the black haired best friend was riding that line way harder then the current couple is. There was also a bigger age gap. She was just super broken so I think people are giving a pass to what she did and their story; ultimately because it ended with the two saying they'd wait. (Except they literally were dating for months and doing the do before saying this but I digress)
Is it cause the second 2 have a more healthy mental state that yall are trying to find something cause of what this story has been so far? Either way please just chill on tossing grooming around until it's actually happening.
I personally think yall are exaggerating the flaws Ogino has. Cause to me it it felt more like he worships the ground Mayo walks on. He's a fan boy who felt like he was "saved" by his favorite idol and then decided to save his idol in return when he noticed them struggling. Claiming he stalked Mayo rather then just literally happening upon him going through a rough time and thinking "aw shit I gotta do something" is a bit of a stretch.
Plus in the later chapters where Ogino mentions saving the MC, to me it looked like he was happy to have found a way to catch up to Mayo. Like he finally found a way to reasonably stay by his side. All of this was pretty wholesome too and our MC finally found his match on top of that. Especially with a guy who would do anything for him I don't really see why we have to nit pick and dissect the ML to the extent some comments are. Is it cause the story is too happy and straightforward; with minimal angst? Like they match eachother's freak and Mayo was hype for the reveal that Ogino had been working hard to be beside him. ┗( T﹏T )┛
