Well tbf with you, the angel's story was a bit detached from the rest. The detail of his story could have been told after he showed up more in the main plot for sure. And by the time the readers would be very curious about him. But it's not too off bc they added honey's story with him. Well it could have been more focused on honey's past instead then.
Or maybe it's supposed to be an extra side story like in some series, like chapter x.5 or something. Anyway I agree that it's a bit out of place/stand out.
