so basically, derek is now pretty much completely under the sht sister's spell and the lil fake sister wanted to falsely accuse penelope by drinking poisoned wine or wtv. BUT Penelope caught on (i think w the help of the necklace as well) and switched hers and the fake sister's glass. AND SO Penelope drinks the poison and the crown prince notices the necklace glow or something (indicating something bad) and shit goes downhill from there. we do get a cute Callisto scene after so its kind of worth it ??

cant remember the exact details but callisto watched over penelope most of the time while she was unconscious and despite knowing that penelope hated blood/violence, he had a sword or dagger prepared with him at all times bc the moment penelope stopped breathing, he was gonna end himself too. favorite scene w him ngl

oh i think at the very end, callisto had to leave bc of some war but before he left, he went up to the unconscious penelope and told her that he had to leave and begged her to greet him with her eyes open when he returned. also, they revealed at that part that while callisto was watching her, he couldn't even sleep for a few seconds bc he was scared that she would die in the meantime. bro's in love
