Here, the marks are mostly just "marks", it didn't make much difference, was omega bitten or not, because he could still find himself a partner and live happily (if I understood it correctly). Sorry, I should have made it more clear. There was a moment in the manga, when the alpha who marked the omega said, "sorry, it's all my fault", and the omega thought on that, "is he blaming himself?"
