I'm speaking from my personal viewpoint (and some experience) so I'm gonna try yo make it as simple as I can for you to understand (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
(I can't remember those main characters's names so I'm gonna call them seme-abductor and uke-abducted instead ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶)

According to the latest chapters, we can assume that the abducted guy's adolescence is pretty shitty, full of abandonment issues, loneliness, social pressure, etc. He may have reached out for the abductor for fun or he saw the abductor as a way to distract him from all the problems at that time. However, note that we have majorly seen their past just from the abductor's point of view so I think it makes the abducted guy's perspective questionable. We don't even know what the abducted guy thought about the past (wether we have seen that the abductor thought very fondly of him) until recently and it didn't concern the abductor's role at all. The abducted guy mainly thought about his family issues, his struggle in life, his short-lived comfort in form of the old doggo.

This is where my experience takes place. When a person is under too much pressure (either from family or other factors), they tend to find as much ways as possible to escape or distract themself from the unhappy situation . In the abducted guy's case, the distractions were the parties, smoking, dating and friends, as long as it was "fun". The abductor was only one friend among many others. We may thought the abducted relationship with the abductor was more interesting or more special compared to the others, but when we add the word "convenient" to it, it's not so special at all.
(I can't help thinking about their relationship like that, like a full package of food, liquor, intimacy, place to have fun in one gullible guy, convenient)

Remember when I said "as much ways as possible"? I mean the distractions were so many that everything was kind of trivial to the point he couldn't tell one from another at all, they were all distractions, no more no less. Because they were trivial, especially compared to the family issues, they weren't worth remembering, including that dude you hook up with. Therefore, the abducted guy couldn't recall anything at all.

wow that's a long speech...
but from what i see the victim is kind of carefree and made a huge impact on the kidnaper.
even if the kidnaper have changed a bit his souvenir... how can the victim have been able to forget everything! it doesn't make sense for me... it's not like they have meet once or twice... they have met a lot and not in a party kind of life style it was at school
so ... let me know if the rest of the story give better explanation otherwise ... im out
