Was really hoping Tristian (Mr. Tough/ Brutal/No Mercy Vampire killer) was the bottom. I’d say this puts our vampire here in a very~ vulnerable position, seeing as how Tristian here likes to cut heads off
Good story but emotionally draining. Wish it was longer or rather the time finally together ( finally in a relationship) was shown a bit more towards the end.

Didn’t read any spoilers...Yet!!! But just based off of that look (Lyn) she gave her servant after noticing the Emperor’s reaction to the empress. I realized I’m in for the same old troupe of trust and betrayal. Not that I will stop reading but I really hoped it Lyn didn’t switch up. How you go from raising someone/not seeing them as a man to all of a sudden jealousy because his attention is else where for a moment. Then there’s also the fact that; although she was hurt did she not see the empress coming to her defense right away to see what happened to her after she fell. Now Just based off of that simple “deal” she made with the emperor about something she rightfully deserves she suddenly questions the empresses friendship or whatever...
Anyway I just wished they could of stayed as friends. Now on top of all of the empresses other problems she got to add this chick to the list. Right after she almost wrote her off. Smh I already feel like I know what lyns storyline will be.. but imma read

I don’t see that at all honestly. Lyn got mad at her servant or maid lady, that’s the mean look I’ve only seen Lyn got. Plus Lyn got mad at the servant because she was trash talking the Empress. During the interrogation of the Concubines too, Lyn still seemed to see the Empress as a good friend.
All I will say is the “faith” you guys have in this character... It’s admirable, but... there’s been too many side characters like her in these types of books. An many of them rarely ever stray far from the very similar path. But hey we’ll see as the story continues

Can somebody remind me the relationship he has with his dad. Let’s say before this chapter and the info of his “mother abandoning him” . From his perspective what was his relationship with his father?
I don’t really remember well but wasn’t there a scene where Hyesung saw his father in a restaurant and was visibly shaken and hurt. His dad basically looked like he didn’t have a care in the world with his NEW family.

yeah his dad is abusive and all memory that hyesung has of his father was of bad ones so he's scared of his dad and I think he kinda developed a trauma because of that
I don't know what exact chapter but when he was a child his Mom din't have a great relationship with Hyesung's dad. Including Hyesung and his mom. He said that his mother would work and would come home tired, neglecting him and saying that she's too tired to play with Hyesung. By the time that Hyesung was a bit older, her mother bought a toy for him saying that she'd comeback but she never did. That's when reality hits Heyusng that her mother left him. But he didn;t know the reason why. He assumed that this is because of his mom's relationship with his father. When Heysung becae a high schooler (?) or in middle school i think? his father sent him to live with his father's mom which obviously is his grandmother. But his grandmother didn't also want him there. He hates his family even when he was a kid especially his father, he only see his mother as the good thing that happened in his life. Plus let's not forget that he knew ever since that he was a kid that he's a dominant alpha because of that wrong AOB test when they were in grade school. That's also the only thing that keeps him going.
