Welp, I'm a bit sad that some are not liking how this story just keeps get depressing after each update. I thought that this is exactly what this story is, about her suffering. I guess because the way the chapters are spliced and uploaded, maybe that has confused some. Then, I highly recommend reading the novel. Note that the original material is more depressing and tragic than this, but her suffering and emotions are so well detailed. It is not for the weak for sure. Her thoughts and the narrative are so well taken care of of the author, that despite it being so painful, each read is satisfying.

Oh god. That's... That's just sad. There is clearly a severe lack of communication between the son and mom. I see both sides and I understand them completely. That's just so so unfortunate, and I really hope he heals soon. The mom is clearly at fault for not communicating to her own son, but I do hope that his finds peace in his heart and be able to help the kids in the orphanage just like how his mom helped them. I don't know how will that happen, but I truly hope he finds peace.

Having a talk like that with a teacher can actually change lives. I've had a few experiences being able to open up like this to a teacher without being thought of as an immature kid, and though I don't remember what the conversations were anymore, I still remember how good I felt as I was going home. I hope more adults are as open-minded and serious to teenagers as Takayanagi-sensei
