i think the main villain is the prince his bitchass thinks it’s all about him and that yveria can’t even do things like the mine for her own sake and it’s all to get his attention blah blah blah. shut the fuck up u don’t even compare to our harry u blonde bitch

yes we get it she’s being protected by the other guys but does she want to?? like she’s in a position where she can’t really refuse anything and she doesn’t have a lot of people on her side other than these men. they’re all men of power and can easily kill her, and all she’s doing is trying to survive. plus we need to separate og eris with the current eris, i hate og eris but love the current eris. u can sympathize and like helena while supporting eris because it’s a different eris! the main antagonist is the prince, he’s the one abusing his power to force helena in these uncomfortable situations where she has to be traumatized by eris, isolated from other maids, and pressured by the empress. i don’t even think she likes him, but she can’t avoid him because someone else would be getting punished. helena and eris are both victims; they’re in a situation that they were forced into and can’t escape because they’re just trying to survive. helena is more like the eris than many may think, she could’ve abused her power easily and used the prince’s favor to move up the social hierarchy, but she didn’t. all she’s trying to do is survive with what she has
a lot of people r talking about the pacing but i prefer this a lot, this slow progression just feels a bit more natural to me and you can see the interactions between characters and each character’s personality grow
