Well, prostitution is often referred to as the oldest profession in the world.
While it might be a cliché, it is a realistic option for some people, especially those who do not come from prominent or wealthy families. For them, prostitution might seem like the only way to climb the social ladder or ensure their basic needs, such as food, are met.

Nothing against it. Just don’t want to read it in my romance yaoi.
Then read something else instead of making it sound likes it's a bad thing to have in a story. You're being facetious for no reason. It makes you look like a child ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Puppyboy Agend-er
I did. I dropped it immediately as soon as prostitution was mentioned. That’s why I commented that I was disappointed and so people reading this could also be warned if they don’t like it. Also how did I use inappropriate humor? Or did you use the wrong word (facetious)
ppl r hating but i def agree. nothing against it irl but when reading stories it’s js a turn off mori
Ya'll are so ass backwards it hurts lol
As the child of a former prostitute this just sounds like someone caring more for fictional characters than real people who have to actually deal with the real world consequences of having to unwillingly sell themselves.

Maybe facetious wasn't quite the right word, but you do sound like a pompous dickhead trying to pass off your own personal disgust as what is right or true lol
You can just say "hey, heads up" or "tw for those who might not want to read" instead of calling it disappointing and a turn-off. There's nothing wrong with letting others know-- lord knows I give warnings to my friends when I give recommendations that are on the darker side-- but what you're doing is just being an ass.

I feel like you are crashing out and projecting onto me. I’m allowed to express my feelings and opinions about fiction. That’s doesn’t make me a dickhead. Calm down.

i see where you’re coming from and i’m very sorry you had to share that. I want to clarify that my comment wasn’t meant to devalue or disrespect anyone who’s experienced sex work! especially those who didnt have a choice.
when i said it was a turnoff in comics, i was referring purely to my personal reading preferences—nothing more. Just like some people don’t enjoy certain tropes, this one just doesn’t resonate with me emotionally. it’s not about judging the people behind the stories, it’s about the way the trope is often portrayed or used in some works.
that said, i realize that my wording could’ve come across as dismissive or ignorant, and i would like to apologize for that.

to add… I fully meant it when I said I have nothing against it. It’s just an emotionally uncomfortable topic for me to read in fiction, especially when they involve the characters being forced into it, portrayed primarily through trauma, with little personality or choice in what happens to them. It doesn’t mean I drop the story entirely nor i’d say it “ruined” the story. I simply just skip over those parts and continue reading.

Are your brains cells non-existent or do you just lack critical thinking? How exactly is calling someone a dickhead over their opinion them not crashing out? You weirdos can keep your prostitute bls, no ones gonna pry them from your fingers, but for the rest of us think the shit is boring and gross. This overeaction shows far more about yourself and the guilt you have about reading shit like this than anything else.

How did you get here? You really need to take this up with a therapist instead of trying to derail a conversation with your unsolicited trauma, how ridiculous and embarrassing of you.

LITERALLY LMFAO. they said NOTHING about the prostitutes itself… but ok, go ahead and say they’re launching a personal attack on ur entire existence because u wanted something to be mad about. if sum1 wants to unload personal trauma in response to a mild opinion and then twist it into some kind of moral crusade, that’s on them. not everything is about u, and not every comment is an invitation to turn the conversation into a therapy session atp ur just reacting to what u want to hear
PS. ppl are allowed to have boundaries with certain storylines without it being some deep insult to YOUR life experiences. Twisting someone’s words just to feel morally superior isn’t cute lol

1st couple loved. 2nd couple sucked. Uke was wishy washy and also not my cup of tea when they show main characters having sex with others that aren’t the person they end up with. Takes the romance out of it for me.
Art change. Did you know there was an art change. Art change. There was an art change. Did you know? Art change. If you didn’t know there was an art change.
Well that was disappointing. I hate prostitution plot lines. So overdone in yaois and a turnoff.
