That doctor... is he crazy? he treat a lot of patient yet when it come to taran blood..he became crazily obsess of it. Its not even his blood, its blood of another person, why would someone obsessing about it. hes crazy!
he is. it was basically his whole family's purpose for generations to make sure the blood of Taran continues. he doesn't have a son (I think his son is dead) so he's obsessed with "doing his role" as the doctor and also believes the taran blood is superior from normal blood so he has to continue it

priority of your attention, its good to help other people but you need to consider the growth environment and feeling of the child before you act. there's always consequences in every decision & action you made either good or bad ,and it also affected the situation youre in and the people around you /special to you.

well both side are right yet wrong. Its actually depends on the situation and the persons involved. Many blame bianca's ignorance for not talking lucy about the abuse. Its actually CONSIDERATION out of concern, not ignorance. Have you forgotten the setting of the story? bianca is already a parent not a teenager and aside from that she had this past life. And their age were enough to have this called PRIVACY, And you should be aware that ABUSED PEOPLE WITH/ STILL ON RIGHT MIND don't really want to talk about it unless they ask for help. because they are still capable to understand their situation and to feel the emotions of sympathy, ego, shame ..etc. Also the story, didnt indicate the personality and feelings or the story of lucy.
Your the one who's actually ignorant, who judge the person and conclude everything without knowing the whole situation. When everyone keep talking about the abuse, but none actually think to put the their foot on biaca's or lucy's shoes.
Bianca's only mistake is, She let it pass for years when she have the authority to confirm it (of course in other way). Still her only clue was the bruises she saw on lucy, thats why she's on act now! eh
