The mother, father, and guardian were horrid monsters. But he's as much a victim as she is. They were starved and tortured together. She coped by not remembering. He coped by not taking things seriously, except for his twin. He remembered her and has been missing her for a decade. Finding her has probably been his driving force that whole time. So yeah... It's not gonna process yet for him that she doesn't remember him, let alone that she doesn't want anything to do with him. He's not a bad guy. He's a broken teenager as much as she is.

They are like 17 or 18 max. He was like 7 or 8 when she was taken away and he didn't know Jack about her location. His "parents" continued to abuse him and of course would never give him any information about her location. It took him 10 years to find her cause he had no other resources but his own will to find his twin sister
