Im currently reading the novels side story now and yes at the end they ended up together but didnt marry. Im currently in the chapter wherein FL is pregnant with third child and currently looking at the imperial portraits. It was also confirmed that Wilhelm had three children with Dulcenea in his first life (remember he was dulceneas plaything but did not disclosed the things dulcenea did to wilhelm). FL knew about the three children wilhelm had with dulcenea since wilhelm confessed it to FL but ofcourse Wilhelm didnt love those children which made FL pity those children.
Also, billroy did receive FL love. FL tried to make up with Billroy. It was also stated at the novel that FL poured love to Bianca their second child along with the loss love she could not give to Billroy (cause Billroy was already at the palace) so Bianca was a spoiled girl.

Maxi returned to his father because she was afraid of Riftan cause she had miscarried. She was practically being abused again by his father and that was when Riftan entered with a few remdragon knights and witnessed the abuse(he was able to enter the duchy thanks to Maxis sister) and oh boy did he beat the duke half to death ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

I sometimes forget how young they actually are because of their appearance. Like they look so mature for their age that Yoshino might look older than me considering im already 22 and people sometimes thought that im 12-13 yrs olds（/TДT)/
I simply think making them college student would make more sense. But Japan prefers to write stories about high schoolers. Which I don't appreciate considering the recent chapters.

In the earlier chapters they were drawn like high schoolers. But the art has changed drastically. Also the running joke that yoshino looks mature for her age that ppl think she’s a hostess
They already were doing naughty things together. All I'm saying is the story would make more sense for a Yakuza man and a Yakuza woman. They're already doing things way more mature for their age. Killing people and fending for themselves and whatnot. I think the story would be cuter if they were adults. Rather than children doing semi-adult things already.

I think the point of this story isnt that its believable that high schoolers would be like this, in the same way that Tokyo Revengers isn't. (i dont mean the time skip part I mean the lets all pretend high schoolers and middle schoolers are badass gangsters like that and that a woman with a fully grown brain would still pine over her middle school crush in her 20s part). It is for sure tho not for everyone and I think the shiny art misleads people lol.
Teenagers joining the gangs is even common in the US. But hey, this is all about the preference. A yakuza man having flings with older women (even when he was...very young), and Yoshino in an arranged marriage set up by her Yakuza family.
This is very much a Japan thing where they prefer telling the story through the lense of children. Rather than adults. And this is tagged as seinen, so people should know what they're getting into.

I read the novel tho still ongoing, and this novel has a total of four wars. Oh yeah maxi got pregnant but had miscarried (Ｔ＿Ｔ). Riftan saw how maxi’s father beat her and in return riftan beat the duke. Maxi entered the wizard tower in order to get the protection of the tower and save riftan from the ongoing trouble the duke could cause them. Wont get into details but it took so long for Riftan to finally acknowledge maxi and made her an official member of the remdragon knights before heading to the fourth war. riftan and maxi went to different groups wherein riftan went on the party to defeat the dragon while maxi stayed to one of the stations that held the barrier to protect it. From the latest chapter ive read (ch 425) the party where riftan is defeated the dragon (thats right, the dragon riftan slayed got resurrected)

From spoilers I've read, I believe he does find out and beats him violently but didn't kill him, the duke try to press charges/get riftan punished, but maxi goes to the tower in exchange for riftan punishment
after the campaign. when maxi knew she miscarried the child , his father forced her to go back to their castle. when the war ended, riftan went after maxi. he saw the duke beating maxi to death.

I just finished reading the novel so I want to share some bits from the novelヾ(☆▽☆)
* Almost 95% of the novel were nothing but angst only 5% are about matthias and leylas lovey dovey.
* I know some of you already know but leyla and kyle got engaged but because of Kyles mom, they broke their marriage and kyle went to college while leyla became a teacher
* Because of the explosion in the greenhouse cause by Uncle Bills negligence and almost causing him to go to jail, leyla agreed to be Matthias mistress to drop the charges against uncle Bill and free him
* Claudine was certain that Leyla will fall into Matthias hands due to Uncle Bills negligence.
* Although Kyle and Leyla cant go back to the way they used to, kyle still believed he still got the chance to change Leylas mind and get them to get married. Claudine told Kyle about Leyla and Matthias affair but Kyle didnt believe her because he knew Leyla.
* Kyle saw Leyla and Matthias having s*x on the table at leyla and uncle bills cabin and Matthias and Kyle fought with their fists. Leyla stopped the fight because it was clear that Kyle was losing since Matthias is a trained soldier so Leyla told Kyle a lie(which is not) that she loved Matthias and she was willing to be a mistress. Claudine also went to the cabin afterwards and heard leyla and matthias love making
* Leyla: “I am yours” “But you are not mine”
* Uncle Bill learned the truth through an anonymous letter(written by Claudine) about Leyla being a mistress but dont know who the guy is until he saw Leyla living the cabin at midnight and followed her and later saw Matthias. *so many happenings* and uncle Bill questioned(?) Leyla until he finally put together pieces as to why Matthias was so generous to them. Uncle Bill agreed to flee with Leyla and start a nee life
* They went to Lovita to start anew with the help of a relative that no one knew until a war happened to where they are staying
* Matthias got depressed when Leyla escaped from him but did not regret the things he did to Leyla. They cannot find them due to believing that they dont have any relatives they could contact to anymore until they found a clue that leylaw was in lovito and the very same place where there was war so Matthias volunteered to be on the frontline to claim leyla again. kyle was also participating at the war but as an aid to patient soldiers.
* Lo and behold, Leyla was actually pregnant and was keeping it a secret but uncle Bill knows(but leyla didnt know uncle bill already knows) and UNCLE BILL DIED IN THE MOST TRAGIC WAY (not gonna go into details) before uncle bill died he gave leyla a gift which was actually a baby shoes and thats when leyla realized uncle bill already knows.
* Matthias and Leyla got reunited and locked Leyla up in his room. A rumor start at Matthias camp that the war made Matthias crazy to the point of kidnapping a pregnant lady
* Leyla almost died because she was sick and could not drink medicine becuase she was pregnant and Matthias decided to kill the baby but Leyla pleaded not to kill her child and told Matthias he was the father(Leyla kept denying Matthias as the father but he did not believe her) but still he was adamant on killing the baby until Leyla pleaded and said she will get better and yes day by day she got better.
* after twist and turns from to many events Matthias decided to let Leyla go becuase he realized that his love was killing Leyla. On that note, thats when Leyla realized that he loved the duke way waaaaay before but yeah she was freed by the duke
* again not gonna go into details but Matthias and Leyla got back together but needed to be separated cause Matthias will need to go back to fight in the war which made leyla ask him to name their kids, leah for girl and felix for a boy.
* about Claudine: Claudine was actually inlove with someone which was Matthias cousin Riette(?) they have feelings for each other but they were both nobles and new their priorities. Although Riette eventually confesses to Claudine about his feelings but Claudine invested too much on becoming the duchess because it is her duty she could not accept Riettes love. At the time of war Riette wrote letter to Claudine about the happenings on the war. Claudine finally having the courage to accept Riettes love when he returns suddenly got the news that Riette died on the war.
* Not gonna go to the details about the war and the reunion of Matthias and Leyla but they got married and they had 2 children a boy and a girl. The boy looked liked Matthias in both hair and eyes but when he smiles, he looked like his mother while the girl got his mothers hair but the same blue eyes as his dad and looked exactly his dad and gotten the nickname “blonde matthias”(≧∀≦)
