Fun fact: anyone can read anything and all works are allowed to be criticised. A lack of criticism leads to promotion and romanticism of abuse and rape (as already seen in Yaoi) and also romanticism and promotion of pedophilia (as seen in anime often). I know that many mangago readers like myself don’t use English as their first language so I’ll put the very first definition of criticism that pops up on google here for you and explain it: “the expression of disapproval of something on the basis of perceived faults or mistakes.” You see, the person has very clearly expressed their disapproval using the phrase “I hate…”, they’ve also expressed the perceived fault as seen in the phrases “this type of seme stalker” and “the type that ruined uke’s life”. no saying you hate something isn’t criticism, you’re just stating what happened. criticism is explaining why it’s problematic or not, why it should or not be that way. criticism has a purpose just like you said it yourself, saying you hate something is pointless so it’s not criticism.
